Migration from MS .Net Framework to .NET Core

1. Plan is to support both at same time to assist in transition to .NET 8+
2. .NET Framework support may be dropped after full support for .NET 8+ is accomplished

• WILL NOT happen until is accomplished (e.g support for Remoting, etc.)
• Tentatively, .NET Framework support will end approximately around NX 2712. This will be scheduled to align with compiler updates.

3. VB Journal replay support will be impacted dropping Framework support

• You can still build custom VB applications into a .NET library
• Siemens is working on documentation to use existing tools to migrate VB Journals to C#
• We have used these free tools to migrate 1.5k VB tests to C# so far
