Additive manufacturing
Build preparation, support generation and print simulation for powder-bed and multi-axis additive processes, in the same system as design.

NC programming from 2.5-axis milling to 5-axis, turning, robots and additive.
Designcenter NX CAM is Siemens' NC programming system. It covers milling, turning, mill-turn, robotic machining and additive, with postprocessing and G-code driven machine simulation built in. It works on the same Designcenter NX model as design, so the shop floor always machines the released revision. It is part of Designcenter NX for Manufacturing, Siemens' connected system for programming, simulating and integrating CNC machining, robotics, additive manufacturing and quality inspection.

Build preparation, support generation and print simulation for powder-bed and multi-axis additive processes, in the same system as design.

Feature-based and volume-based milling for prismatic parts, adaptive roughing at constant tool load, rest milling and automatic collision checking.

5-axis finishing with automatic tool tilting, plus turning, mill-turn and multi-function machines programmed and synchronised in one environment.

Program the CMM from the same model, run the inspection and bring results back into Designcenter NX.

Program and simulate robots for machining, polishing, trimming, deburring and pick-and-place.

Process-driven design of moulds, dies, electrodes and fixtures, linked directly to the machining program.

Part manufacturing linked to line and process planning, so engineering, automation and controls share one plan.

Models, setup sheets, tool lists and CNC output managed in Teamcenter, released revision only.

The same CAM capabilities as a scalable cloud subscription: advanced CNC programming with the flexibility and security of cloud technology, in packages sized for small shops through to large enterprises.

Designcenter NX CAM links with Teamcenter for data management, Opcenter and Mcenter for production and tool management, and Sinumerik controllers, connecting the part manufacturing process end to end.
Two on-premises packages and a cloud family, all on the same NX architecture. Add specialist modules through tokens.

The cornerstone package: translators, operation navigator, toolpath visualisation and material-removal verification, collision checking, CAM templates and an integrated post-processor.

One token subscription unlocks the add-on modules of NX X Manufacturing when you need them, and releases the tokens when you are done.
Fact sheetFeature-based machining cuts programming work by up to 90 percent.
Adaptive milling takes deeper cuts at higher feed rates.

Milling from 2.5 to 5 axis, turning, mill-turn, wire EDM, robotics and additive, with post-processors for the main controllers.
Yes. G-code driven simulation checks the actual NC program against the machine model before anything reaches the shop floor.
No. Designcenter NX CAM works on imported geometry from any CAD system, though Designcenter NX CAD and CAM in one model saves rework.
Yes. Post-processor development and validation is part of our implementation service.
Yes. NX X Manufacturing delivers Designcenter NX CAM as a subscription on Siemens cloud, scaled to the size of your shop and without licence servers to maintain.
Yes, through Teamcenter, Opcenter and Sinumerik integration, so programs, tools and resources flow between engineering and the shop floor without manual re-entry.
Foundation is the base for NC programming: translators, toolpath verification, templates and post-processing. Total Machining adds high-speed, 5-axis, mill-turn and feature-based machining plus a full CAD seat.
Yes. NX X Manufacturing delivers the same NX CAM through a cloud subscription in four tiers, with built-in data management and optional token add-ons.
