Designcenter NX CAD overview
Designcenter NX is Siemens' product design software: solid and surface modelling, drafting, sheet metal, assemblies and PCB design in one system. It shares its data directly with Designcenter NX CAM, Simcenter 3D and Teamcenter, so nothing is translated between design, simulation and manufacturing. Formerly NX CAD, it is now Designcenter NX CAD, part of Designcenter, Siemens' new name for its design portfolio. The software, your files and your licences are unchanged.

Rigid and flexible PCBs designed in the mechanical assembly, with clearance checks and board outlines passed to your ECAD system.
Workflow
Sheet metal with accurate flat patterns, pipe, tube and cable routing, 3D annotation (PMI, GD&T) and Check-Mate validation rules.
Immersive Engineering
Review and sign off designs at full scale in mixed reality with an XR headset, inside the Designcenter NX environment, plus photorealistic rendering, Class-A surfacing to G3 continuity and reverse engineering from scans.
AI
Designcenter Copilot answers questions in plain language and finds the right command for you, while command prediction and AI-assisted selection cut clicks. A role-based interface shows only the tools you need.

User-defined features, a shared re-use library, optimisation on model expressions and programming interfaces, with run-time licences included.

Is Designcenter NX CAD suitable for small teams or only large enterprises?
Both. Designcenter NX is sold as a subscription in packages from a single designer seat to enterprise deployments, and NomuTech sizes the subscription to the team.
Can Designcenter NX open files from SolidWorks, CATIA or Inventor?
Yes. Designcenter NX reads native and neutral formats such as STEP, JT, Parasolid and the main CAD vendors' files.
Is training available in the Middle East?
Yes. NomuTech delivers instructor-led Designcenter NX training online or in person anywhere in the Middle East, and self-paced courses through an Xcelerator Academy subscription.
How is Designcenter NX licensed?
By subscription. You choose the package and the number of users, and NomuTech handles renewals so nothing lapses.
What is Designcenter?
Designcenter is Siemens' new name for its design software. Designcenter NX is now Designcenter NX and Designcenter Solid Edge is Designcenter Solid Edge. When you buy or renew you receive the same software under the new name.
Can we start small and add modules later?
Yes. Start with a Standard, Advanced or Premium package and add specialty CAD, CAM or CAE modules on demand through value-based tokens, without changing your base subscription.
Does Designcenter NX cover mould and die design?
Yes. NX Tooling applications automate mould, progressive die and fixture design and keep the tooling linked to the product model, so design changes propagate automatically.
Can we simulate a machine before we build it?
Yes. Mechatronics Concept Designer in Designcenter NX simulates kinematics, motors, actuators and sensors together, so mechanical, electrical and automation engineers validate the concept early.
