FE Pre/Post Processing
Simcenter 3D Engineering Desktop: geometry repair and defeaturing from any CAD, meshing, FE assembly management and post-processing for every physics, and a pre/post for third-party solvers such as Nastran, Abaqus and LS-DYNA.

One environment for structural, thermal, flow, motion and acoustic simulation.
Simcenter 3D is Siemens' multidisciplinary CAE environment. It takes geometry from any CAD source, meshes it, and solves structures, dynamics, acoustics, durability, motion, thermal, flow and electromagnetics with integrated solvers. It also pre- and post-processes for Ansys, Abaqus, MSC Nastran and LS-Dyna.

Simcenter 3D Engineering Desktop: geometry repair and defeaturing from any CAD, meshing, FE assembly management and post-processing for every physics, and a pre/post for third-party solvers such as Nastran, Abaqus and LS-DYNA.

Simcenter Nastran solvers for linear and nonlinear statics, from laptop to cluster. Ready-to-use aerostructure methods report margins of safety from reference handbooks, and aeroelastic flutter, divergence and trim analyses link directly to CAD.

Forced response, NVH post-processing and troubleshooting, rotor dynamics and correlation of the FE model with measured data, with customisable templates for repeat analysis processes.

Uncoupled, vibro-acoustic and aero-acoustic analysis with FEM, BEM and ray acoustics solvers.

Fatigue and life prediction from measured or simulated loads, including seam and spot welds, connections and composites, from design-phase wizards to detailed load evaluation.

Rigid and flexible multibody dynamics with drivers, forces and controls, flexible bodies from FE models, and add-ons for tyres, drivetrains and gear-whine acoustics.

The Simcenter MAGNET low-frequency solver inside Simcenter 3D: static, transient and time-harmonic 2D and 3D analysis of e-machines, actuators and transformers, with motion, demagnetisation and hysteresis effects.

Physical test data correlated with the model to improve accuracy and reduce the sensors you need.

Conduction, convection, radiation and phase change, nonlinear and transient, with an embedded CFD solver for conjugate heat transfer, ECAD interfaces for electronics and orbital thermal analysis for spacecraft.

Powder-bed fusion build simulation with voxel or tetrahedral meshes and an enhanced inherent-strain method, predicting distortion and producing compensated geometry before the first print.

Mounting positions, forces, moments and collisions of flexible parts in moving assemblies.

Simcenter Simsolid analyses complete CAD assemblies without meshing or geometry clean-up, in minutes, for early design checks. Simcenter Inspire adds simulation-driven design for manufacturing with generative design. Both connect to Simcenter 3D for detailed multiphysics.
Two capabilities the discipline tabs do not show.

Topology optimisation and design space exploration across structural, thermal, flow and motion physics, automating the iterative improvement of a design without model simplification.

Simulation models, results, processes and documents managed in Teamcenter with full traceability from requirement to validation, so work is found and reused instead of redone.
Model preparation from any CAD source in a fraction of the time.
Every physics domain, coupled where the problem needs it.
Expert workflows captured and re-run across design options.
Simulation data managed alongside CAD and requirements.
Value-based tokens open almost the whole suite.

Structures, vibration, acoustics, durability, motion, thermal and flow, in one environment with shared geometry and results.
Simcenter Nastran is the core solver, and Simcenter 3D also drives Abaqus, ANSYS, LS-DYNA and MSC Nastran from the same model.
Yes. Simcenter 3D is CAD-neutral and keeps the link to Designcenter NX, CATIA, SolidWorks or Creo geometry so updates flow through.
Yes. We offer mentored pilot projects alongside training so your engineers learn on real work.
Yes. Siemens offers a trial covering geometry preparation, meshing, solving and design updates. NomuTech arranges access and a guided first session.
Simcenter Simsolid for meshless structural checks on complete assemblies, or Simcenter Inspire for concept and manufacturability studies, with Simcenter 3D when detailed analysis is needed.
Yes. Simcenter 3D for aerostructures links CAD, Simcenter Nastran and ready-to-use failure prediction methods, reports margins of safety and runs flutter, divergence and trim analyses in one environment.
Yes. Simulation Process and Data Management stores models, results and processes in Teamcenter with full traceability, so simulation work is reused across programmes.
